The #2501 family of Round File Lighters is no longer manufactured. Both the #2501 line and the #2001 line became obsolete when the #3001 line was introduced. Improvements initiated with the #3001 line included a hood which would not detach on impact, a freely rotating file, a larger flint and improvements in file making technology.

In addition, the design of the #3001 lighter has enabled us to reduce the labor involved in manufacture which has in turn led to a lower price.
